Social and Citizenship Studies Scheme of Work for JSS1 to JSS3
Social and Citizenship Studies at JSS1 introduces citizenship, family, culture, the environment, and digital safety. JSS2 builds through the constitution, democracy, human rights, and civic institutions, while JSS3 covers governance, peace, sustainable development, and civic participation, closing with BECE revision and mock exams. Why does JSS3 Third Term end differently?
JSS3 Third Term is structured around BECE preparation, so it moves from revision of the entire junior secondary curriculum into a mock examination and final examination, rather than the usual midterm/examination/closing pattern.
Does this scheme apply nationwide?
The core topic sequence follows the national curriculum, though individual schools sometimes adjust pacing around their own midterm and exam dates.
