Why This Subject Catches Teachers Off Guard

Most schools introduced Digital Technologies without much lead time, and it replaced or absorbed parts of older subjects like Computer Studies and Basic Technology. Is Digital Technologies the same as Computer Studies?

Not quite. It builds on the old ICT and Basic Technology curriculum, but adds newer areas like digital media, cybersecurity, robotics, and AI awareness as students move up the levels.

Does the scheme change much from state to state?

The core NERDC scheme stays consistent nationwide, though individual schools sometimes adjust pacing around their own midterm and exam dates.
