By Third Term, pupils already understand rights, duties, and identity from earlier terms, so the focus shifts to recognising and respecting the concrete symbols, flag, anthem, coat of arms, that represent those ideas in daily life.

This scheme follows the Lagos State Ministry of Education’s unified scheme of work. Other states may sequence Civic Education topics slightly differently, so check with your local Ministry of Education if you’re outside Lagos.
